Why a specific Cot for this industry?

In mid 2011, Work Safe Victoria discovered carers were suffering from multiple skeletal injuries caused by the repeated manual handling and bending into cots. The injuries caused vary but are caused primarily by the repeated bending into lower level cots. Work Safe Victoria proceeded to issue Early Learning Centres infringement notices and required centres to change their cots to a more suitable cot to reduce the injuries caused.

The options for Early Learning Centres were limited to Cots that did not meet Australian Standards or metal cots which didn’t meet the comfort and assurance requirements of parents and carers.

The next step . . .

In consultation with various associations including Work Safe Victoria, Kindergarten Parents Victoria (KPV), Good Start Childcare, Fair Trading Victoria, Fair Trading Queensland and one of Australia’s leading ergonomists Chris Fitzgerald, babyhood took up the challenge of developing a Cot specific for the this industry’s needs. This was no easy task as it required new innovation, new technology and the consensus of all the related parties as to what was best for carers, babies and parents.

Almost 14 months later babyhood has designed and manufactured the NEW babyhood Ergonomic Cot, which was proudly launched at the KPV Conference in Melbourne last week.

The unique Australian Patented and Design Registered Cot was designed to reduce the stress placed on carers by increasing the base height and making access to the child easier. The design allows carers to get closer to the child to reduce the impact of the load.

Standards and Regulatory Requirements.

The Ergonomic Cot is tested to AS/NZS 2172:2003 and complies with AS/NZS 2172:2010 – Australian Standard for Domestic use Cots as well as the Commercial Tip Test Standard. The cot is tested by the highly regarded NATA accredited testing facility AFRDI (Australian Furnishing Research and Development Institute) to ensure that the cot is safe and meets with the Standards noted above.

Exchange & Refund Policy

 

Exchange: Please contact our customer service with your order number and item details you wish to exchange. This is a request based on availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please note sales item does not qualify for exchange. 

 

Refund: Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly accept returns within 14 days of delivery. All returned items must be unused, undamaged, in original condition and in their original packaging. It is important to keep the original packaging. To organize a return, simply contact us within 14 days of receiving the item by sending an email to info@oliandola.com.au. Please note change of mind return will incur a 20% restocking fee of your total bill. 

 

After we have received your item and confirmed it is in its original condition, we will issue you with a refund of the purchase price less the postage. If you have purchased an item using a free shipping offer and returned it because you have changed your mind, we will deduct the actual shipping cost to us from your refund. Please note that exchange or refunds are not available on sale items. Any refund is made back to the payment option you chose with your original order within 5 business days. Please do not attempt to return the items before speaking to one of our specialists.

 

Before signing for your purchased items we recommends you opening and inspecting the packages to ensure all the items are in good condition. In case of breakage please contact us immediately. Please email us a photo of the damaged item and the corresponding order number so that a claim can be lodged with the courier service.

 

Damaged or Missing items:

 

If any product you receive is damaged or faulty through no fault of your own or there is part missing from the order, it will be repaired, replaced or refunded at our discretion and at no cost to you. If you notice any of these, please notify our delivery drivers and also our customer service on info@oliandola.com.au within 48 hours of delivery. Please also make sure you keep the original packaging until further notice.

 

STEP 1 – Please take pictures of the damage including any damage to the packaging.

STEP 2 – Email the pictures to info@oliandola.com.au. To ensure a quick resolution, please include your order reference and any helpful information to help identify the damaged part(s).

STEP 3 – A customer service specialist will get back to you within 24 hours (excluding weekends) with further information.

 

Our rights: We reserve the right to refuse a refund in cases where we deem damage to a product to be due to fair wear and tear, misuse, and failure to install or use in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions or failure to take reasonable care.

 

Please note returned products that are non-defective, are subject to a 10% restocking fee. This also applies to orders cancelled while in transit.

FAQ

 1. Is there a showroom where I can see the item before purchasing?

Yes, our showroom is located at 36 Geddes St, Mulgrave VIC 3170. Please make appointment before you come.

 

2. What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept payment via PayPal and Visa and MasterCard. Unfortunately we do not accept direct deposits or bank transfers at this time. American Express cardholders can purchase through PayPal by selecting the Pay with a credit card option.

 

3. The product I ordered is missing parts, what should I do?

To assist us with resolving the issue promptly please provide photos of what you did receive, as well as a photo of the delivery label and packaging by emailing them to our customer service on info@oliandola.com.au. Please also include your name, order number and a description of the issue and our customer service specialist will respond as soon as possible. TIP: If the product comes with an Instruction Manual please note the code/label associated with the missing part (if available), or provide a photo of the manual with the missing part highlighted.
